Roundtable Discussions

The American College of Clinical Wound Specialists (ACCWS), education committee will be holding FREE quarterly online live educational forums. During these one hour live events, challenging clinical cases will be presented and discussed with the audience.

ACCREDITATION FOR ROUNDTABLE

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Cine-Med and the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists. Cine-Med is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physicians

Cine-Med designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses

This activity provides 1 contact hour for nurses.

Podiatrist / Physicians

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards and requirements for approval of providers of continuing education in podiatric medicine through a joint provider agreement between Cine-Med and the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists.  Cine-Med is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a provider of continuing education in podiatric medicine. Cine-Med has approved this activity for a maximum of 1 continuing education contact hour.

Other Healthcare Professionals

All other healthcare professionals will receive a Certificate of Participation. For information on the applicability and acceptance of Certificates of Participation for activities designated for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, consult your professional licensing board.

Case 1: The use of topical oxygen on a challenging mixed ulcer.
Case 2 &3: Health Disparity: Darker pigmented skin through the lens of long wave infrared thermography, what I’ve learned in the past 36 months.

Case Study Submission 

You are encouraged to submit any case or topic that you would like to discuss with the panel and other colleagues. The submission should be limited to two powerpoint slides. One should be dedicated to the clinical scenario and the other should contain 1-2 representative photos (subject should not be recognizable or should have consented to be photographed for educational purposes).
