Message from the Chair
As I begin my term as Chair of the College’s Board, I reflect on the amount of time, effort and work those who have held this chair have done in making what the College is today. The advancement of the College to the position it has obtained in advancing wound care throughout the world is a significant accomplishment and attests to the concept of uniting the diversity of wound care specialists in a community dedicated to the advancement of wound care: a concept that I hope to further as Chair of the College. The Journal of the ACCWS
The Journal of the College has just completed an agreement with the National Library of Medicine which will make articles published in the Journal available to readers through PubMed Central. Journal Editor, Richard Simman, MD, FACS, FACCWS stated that ‘the availability of Journal articles through PubMed Central will greatly enhance the status of the Journal while making it an attractive venue for authors and researchers.’

ACCWS Board of Directors appoints Anthony (Tony) McNevin Executive Director
Anthony (Tony) McNevin became the College’s Executive Director on March 1, 2011. Since then he has been at work establishing a stronger infra-structure for the College and moving the College’s business to the Web. Click below to find out more.

An Honorary Fellow shall be an individual of national or international stature who has made an outstanding contribution to the interdisciplinary practice of wound management and who has been selected by the Board of Directors of the ACCWS.

ACCWS 2010 Chairman’s Creative Vision Award Recognizes:
Richard Simman, MD, FACS,FACCWS
The Chairman’s creative vision award is awarded to a Board of Director or committee member chosen by the current Chairman of the Board. The recipient is one who has shown exemplary vision and creativity to make ‘it’ happen. The creative vision award recipient is a person who takes a plan on paper and sees it through to fruition. One, who encourages, enlightens and inspires those around them to set goals, take action and make it work.
